Edtech and Learning Innovation Entrepreneurship

About Course

Education is full of urgent problems—unequal access, disengagement, teacher workload, skills gaps, weak feedback and learning experiences that do not produce meaningful outcomes. Yet many edtech ideas fail because founders build technology before understanding learners, educators, buyers and the realities of adoption. This course helps learners investigate the real education system and turn a verified learning problem into a responsible, evidence-aware and commercially credible enterprise.

You will investigate learners, educators, parents, institutions and employers; size the market; design the solution; apply learning science; select appropriate technology; and build a viable business and brand. You will create and test an MVP, distinguish engagement from learning evidence, address privacy, safeguarding, accessibility and responsible AI, design operations and prepare an institutional pilot. Every section produces a portfolio asset, from the venture thesis and stakeholder evidence to the learning product, evidence roadmap and customer pipeline.

By the end, you will become an edtech or learning-innovation entrepreneur with a visible enterprise—not merely a business idea. Your final portfolio will include a public landing page, tested MVP, stakeholder evidence, learning design, outcome-validation roadmap, responsible-product plan, pilot proposal, financial snapshot, global funding pipeline, pitch deck and 90-day launch roadmap. Successful learners receive a Scalelab Academy certificate, lifetime course access, future updates and course-specific AI tools for research, instructional design, assessment, market sizing, financial modelling, funding discovery and pitch preparation.

Section 2: Discover a Learning Problem Worth Solving
Section goal and target content. Investigate problems experienced by learners, educators, families, institutions and employers. Learners will conduct responsible discovery and produce an evidence-based learning problem statement.

Section 3: Understand Customers and Education Stakeholders
Section goal and target content. Separate learners, users, beneficiaries, educators, buyers, payers, regulators and partners. Learners will map their needs, incentives, constraints and influence over adoption.

Section 4: Research the Market and Size the Opportunity
Section goal and target content. Analyse competitors, existing alternatives, education trends, purchasing behaviour and adoption barriers. Learners will estimate TAM, SAM and SOM and select a focused beachhead market.

Section 5: Design the Solution and Value Proposition
Section goal and target content. Translate the validated problem into a useful and feasible learning solution. Learners will define intended users, use cases, essential features and measurable educational or operational value.

Section 6: Select the Technology and Innovation Model
Section goal and target content. Evaluate technology according to the learning problem, user context and delivery constraints. Learners will decide what to build, buy, integrate, license or access through partners.

Section 10: Test the MVP and Prove Learning Value
Section goal and target content. Test usability, desirability and early learning value with intended users and buyers. Learners will distinguish engagement metrics from credible evidence and create a staged outcome-validation roadmap.

Section 11: Navigate Regulation, Risk and Responsible Enterprise
Section goal and target content. Address the responsibilities that determine whether the venture can be trusted and adopted. Learners will cover privacy, child safeguarding, accessibility, responsible AI, content quality, intellectual property and education policy.

Section 12: Design Operations and Strategic Partnerships
