Social Enterprise and Impact Entrepreneurship
About Course
Good intentions do not automatically create lasting change. Social ventures often struggle because founders design for communities without listening deeply, confuse activities with impact, depend on one funding source or cannot prove that their solution improves lives. This course helps learners turn a verified social or environmental challenge into a visible, measurable and financially sustainable social enterprise.
You will work with beneficiaries, users, customers, community leaders, public agencies, funders and delivery partners; research the need and market; build a theory of change; co-design the solution; and create a mission-aligned revenue model and brand. You will test a minimum viable social solution, measure early outcomes and demand, build governance and safeguarding, design operations, and create an adoption and funding pipeline. Every section produces a portfolio asset, from the impact thesis and lived-experience evidence to the pilot, impact dashboard and launch plan.
By the end, you will become a social and impact entrepreneur with a visible enterprise—not merely a mission statement. Your final portfolio will include a public landing page, tested social solution, beneficiary and customer evidence, theory of change, impact indicators, brand and revenue model, governance and safeguarding plan, operating system, adoption and global funding pipeline, pitch deck and 90-day roadmap. Successful learners receive a Scalelab Academy certificate, lifetime course access, future updates and course-specific AI tools for research, theory-of-change design, impact measurement, financial planning, funding and pitch preparation.
