Google Workspace with Gemini for Startups

About Course

Startups rely on email, documents, spreadsheets, meetings and shared files every day, yet valuable information is often scattered and work gets repeated. Gemini can help teams draft, summarise, analyse and coordinate inside Google Workspace—but only when accounts, permissions and workflows are organised properly. This course shows founders how to turn familiar Workspace applications into a connected, AI-assisted operating environment. You will configure a secure Workspace foundation and learn a prompting method that works across Google applications. You will use Gemini with Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Vids, Meet and Chat, then extend your work through the Gemini app, Gems and Gemini Notebook. The course connects these tools through realistic startup workflows for sales, recruitment, reporting, meetings and knowledge management. Every section produces a usable asset, including folder conventions, email routines, analysis worksheets, meeting systems and cross-app workflow maps. By the end, you will become a Google Workspace power user and startup systems leader: able to reduce repetitive work, find information faster, improve team coordination and govern Gemini responsibly. You will leave with a 90-day Workspace and Gemini adoption roadmap. Successful learners receive a Scalelab Academy certificate, lifetime course access, future updates and access to course-specific AI tools for prompts, workflow design, document quality, spreadsheet analysis and implementation planning.

Course Content

Section 1: Set Up a Secure AI-Enabled Google Workspace
Prepare the startup's Workspace environment before introducing AI-assisted work. Learners will examine plans, domains, users, administrator roles, groups, sharing and Gemini availability, then create a practical setup, permissions and access checklist.

  • Understand the Google Workspace startup environment
  • Select users, roles, groups and administrator responsibilities
  • Organise domains, accounts and authentication
  • Configure Drive ownership and external sharing boundaries
  • Review Gemini availability and feature controls
  • Create a secure Workspace and Gemini setup checklist

Section 2: Prompt and Collaborate Effectively with Gemini
Develop a reusable prompting method for working across Google Workspace. Learners will define the task, context, source material, audience, constraints and output format; improve results through follow-up instructions; and verify generated content before using or sharing it.

Section 3: Manage Email, Calendars and Priorities
Use Gemini in Gmail and Calendar to reduce communication and coordination workload. Learners will summarise threads, identify decisions and actions, draft context-aware replies, prepare follow-ups, organise schedules and turn incoming communication into structured priorities.

Section 4: Organise Knowledge with Drive and Docs
Transform scattered files into accessible startup knowledge. Learners will establish shared-drive and folder conventions, manage permissions, locate information with Gemini, summarise files, create structured documents, improve drafts and maintain reusable company templates.

Section 5: Analyse Startup Data with Gemini in Sheets
Use Gemini to organise and interpret operational data without surrendering control of calculations. Learners will clean tables, develop formulas, categorise information, identify patterns and produce decision-ready summaries for budgets, pipelines, feedback and performance tracking.

Section 6: Create Presentations and Visual Content
Produce clearer presentations and supporting visuals in Slides and Google Vids. Learners will turn source documents into storylines, generate and improve slide content, create suitable images, maintain visual consistency and develop concise presentations for customers, partners, teams and investors.

Section 7: Run Better Meetings with Meet and Chat
Improve meeting preparation, participation and follow-through. Learners will prepare agendas, use Gemini-supported notes and summaries, capture decisions and action items, coordinate in Chat and convert meeting outputs into accountable work.

Section 8: Use the Gemini App, Gems and Gemini Notebook
Extend AI-assisted work beyond individual Workspace applications. Learners will use the Gemini app for brainstorming, research and analysis; create Gems for repeatable startup roles; and organise trusted source collections in Gemini Notebook for grounded knowledge work and team learning.

Section 9: Build Connected Startup Workflows
Combine Workspace applications into repeatable operating processes. Learners will design cross-application workflows for enquiries, sales follow-up, recruitment, meetings, reporting and knowledge management while identifying where automation or human approval belongs.

Section 10: Govern Gemini and Drive Startup Adoption
Establish practical rules for safe, consistent and valuable use. Learners will address permissions, sensitive information, conversation history, output verification, training and adoption measurement, then produce a 90-day Workspace and Gemini implementation roadmap.
